Welcome to Marudhanatyanjali

In Indian mythology, the entire universe is looked at as the cosmic dance of Lord Shiva . Lord Nataraja's Ananda Thandavam which is nothing but the combination of sage Bharatha's Natya sastra and sage Pathanjali's yoga sastra signifies the three basic divine functions of creation, protection and destruction.Natyanjali is a festival of dance conducted in Shiva temples. Our Mission and Vision

The Trustees of Marudha Natyanjali ceaselessly strive to provide a platform for the aspiring dancers not only to offer their salutations to Lord Shiva, presiding over the reputed temple at Tiruvidaimarudur as Mahalinga, but also to showcase their talent in their art form.
The trustees also strive ceaselessly to make Marudha Natyanjali a prestigeous event, wherein the participating artists would believe that they are blessed by the Lord with an aura of divinity. To achieve this avowed objective, the trustees envisage that all the participating artists should feel comfortable and peaceful and the trustees also resolve to refrain completely from charging any entrance fee for taking part in this divine event.
Our Marudha Natyanjali Trust is established solely to organise and conduct Marudha Natyanjali Festival every year during Maha Shivaratri at the Arulmigu Mahalinga Swami temple in Tiruvidaimarudur. That apart, the trust organises no other event.
